This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of tree compliance and enforcement investigations to contribute to protecting Mosman's tree canopy and enhancing safety and amenity around development sites.

What You’ll Be Working On

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Mosman Council’s tree management controls, and broader development-related legislation.

You will be undertaking inspections and investigations regarding the removal, pruning or damage to private and Council trees, and development consent conditions relating to planting and maintaining of trees.

You will also support the broader Building Control Team by undertaking investigations and inspections in other areas, such as non-compliant building and development works, fire safety, or swimming pools and pool barrier compliance.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in arboriculture, environmental management, building certification, compliance, investigation or related field.

You will have demonstrated experience in investigations, evidence gathering and regulatory enforcement, with an ability to understand and interpret legislation for practical enforcement purposes.

In addition to the above, you will also hold a current class C driver’s licence.

Please note that this position is subject to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check undertaken by Council.
