Description

The Package: $820.60 - $1,206.09 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Trainee Grade 4 - 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 38 hours per week. (RDO Conditions may apply)

Two of these traineeship opportunities are identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander positions - one located in Braidwood and one in Bungendore.

Council will support successful candidates to complete a Certificate III – Civil Construction. Council commits to paying 100% of the costs for course fees and any other costs associated such as prescribed textbooks.

In this role you will:

  • Master the art of road maintenance and construction
  • Support in delivering safe and accessible road networks for our community
  • Hands on experience with drainage construction and maintenance
  • Assist and carry out construction and maintenance of concrete
  • Leave your mark with road line marking and street signs

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ability to enrol in and complete a Certificate III – Civil Construction through approved RTO as a part-time student by either internal or external learning.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • A good level of communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Is able to or in the process or obtaining a ‘P’ or ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
