Description

The Package: $947.58 - $1,047.06 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Part-time – 28 hours per week. Flex time conditions may apply.

Are you passionate about your local community and looking for work that facilitates meaningful change? Council is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community team.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with families, government departments and Council staff.
  • Assist team members to implement and develop programs and undertake appropriate record keeping and reporting.
  • Plan and deliver targeted early intervention programs and collaborate with other local services.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and undertake administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate and proficient in effectively engaging with members of the community.
  • Holds a strong understanding and awareness of social issues locally.
  • Possesses qualifications in Community or Youth Services (or related area) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate programs dependant on the need and target audience.
  • Holds a current NSW Working with Children Check and current Advanced First Aid certificate.
