The Package: $89,512.8 - $98,913.36 gross per annum + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2023).

Full-time 2 year fixed term – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply. Routine overtime is expected with the role.

Are you an experienced leader in road construction and maintenance and looking for a new challenge?

Position Overview: This leadership role is responsible for supervising staff and performing tasks across various fields of work including road construction, heavy patching, sealing/resealing, drainage works, and structural steel and concrete works. Additionally, the position entails driving, operating, maintaining, and servicing Council's plant equipment.
The Team Leader plays a vital role in supervising daily operations aimed at fulfilling the council's objectives of ensuring safe roads, maintaining quality standards, and enhancing the well-being and satisfaction of road users.

Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in a related construction field, a certificate IV qualification is advantageous. The preferred candidate will be able to supervise staff and resources in road maintenance and/or construction projects through various Leading Hand teams, have effective communication skills, both oral and written as well as possessing leadership qualities to lead, motivate, and supervise staff effectively. Proficiency in using Microsoft suite and electronic records management is also required. Possession of a MR class driver’s license and NSW General Construction Card is required.
