Sports Turf Operator
Permanent, Full-Time | $58, 493.20 - $66, 806.04 + 12% superannuation |Hurstville LGA
Work across a range of sports field sites throughout the Hurstville LGA, helping to maintain high-quality playing surfaces for the community.
As a Sports Turf Operator, you will play an important role in maintaining and presenting sports fields and surrounding areas to a high standard. Working under the guidance of the Sports Turf Operations Leader, you will undertake a range of turf management and grounds maintenance activities to ensure playing surfaces remain safe, well-presented and ready for community use.
This hands-on role involves operating and maintaining plant and equipment, carrying out turf care and field preparation works, and supporting the delivery of efficient and reliable services across multiple sporting facilities. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the upkeep of Council's valuable sporting assets while meeting operational priorities and customer needs.
Success in this role requires a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment, identifying issues and delivering quality outcomes. You will take pride in your work, represent Council positively in the community and contribute to creating welcoming, high-quality recreational spaces that encourage active lifestyles and community participation.
What we Offer
- Permanent Full-Time - 76 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $58, 493.20.24 - $66, 806.04 per annum plus 12% superannuation

What We Are Looking For
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Demonstrated experience and/or interest in working within a sporting grounds/park maintenance team
- Experience in providing maintenance services for community and park infrastructure with demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcomes
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and/or various equipment common to park and garden maintenance (mowers, edgers, blowers etc.)
- Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Appropriate written and oral communication skills
