Skilled Labourer – Bushcare Regenerator

About the Role
The position is for bush regeneration operations including weed control and revegetation, and other track maintenance and small construction works on Council managed reserves This includes:
- Undertake weed control of environmental weeds
- Undertake seed collection, propagation and revegetation
- Undertake small construction/carpentry projects
- Operate allocated plants such as, but not limited to, water carts and herbicide sprayers, and hand tools and machinery such as, but not limited to chainsaws, pumps, brush cutters, herbicide spraying equipment, etc.
- Undertake worksite risk assessments
- Safely use chemicals with a clear understanding of chemical actions

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate 2 in Conservation and Land Management (CLM)
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Current National WHS Construction Induction Card, or ability to obtain upon appointment.
- Current AQF3 chemical user qualification 'Prepare and apply chemicals' and 'Transport, handle and store chemicals', or ability to obtain upon appointment.
- Appropriate chainsaw qualifications for crosscut and simple tree felling, or ability to obtain upon appointment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the protection and preservation of potential Aboriginal cultural sites and places.
- Demonstrated strong connection to the Aboriginal communities within the Shoalhaven Local Government Area.
