Exciting opportunity to use your
key engineering design skills to help deliver complex civil projects for the
Manningham community. This role plays a vital role in scoping and managing
civil infrastructure projects with a water focus, so works could include
easement drainage design or solving flooding issues with other civil related
works thrown in for variety. You will join a collaborative and people focused

About the role
This position is responsible for the design and
administration of the infrastructure projects with an emphasis on drainage for
Manningham. This is achieved through the evaluation of design problems and then
designing or managing consultants to develop construction plans for tendering.
Often, you will be required to think on your feet and adapt to changing
conditions- be that underground services, politics, or topography, amongst
others, to ensure works get designed to a high standard.
Skills and experience
- Equivalent of a Degree or Diploma in Engineering
or a related field with substantial experience in the design of civil projects
(a focus on stormwater highly regarded). - A professional with the ability to design,
review and manage the design of complex civil projects. - A project delivery professional who can
effectively and economically plan, implement, and supervise civil projects to
ensure compliance with the contract, Council requirements, industry standards
and legislative requirements. - A specialist who naturally mentors engineers and
fosters an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing. - A problem solver, able to resolve complex
operational and service delivery issues to meet the needs of internal and
external stakeholders. - Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D
and/or Civil Site Design for the design/review of roads, drains and traffic
improvement works. - Experience and understanding of ESD, IWM and
WSUD.
