This is more than parking compliance—it's an opportunity to help create safer streets, improve traffic flow, support local schools and businesses, and make a positive difference to the everyday experience of residents and visitors across the Inner West.
As aSenior Parking Officer, you'll play a key role in keeping the Inner West moving safely and efficiently. Working across the Local Government Area, you'll undertake parking patrols, support compliance activities, and help ensure our roads, school zones and public parking areas remain safe, accessible and well-managed for the community.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct parking patrols across school zones, clearways, residential parking scheme areas and Council car parks.
- Educate and assist the community while promoting safe and responsible parking practices.
- Exercise your delegated authority to take appropriate compliance action in line with legislation, Council policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Identify and report damaged parking signs and other Council assets to help maintain a safe and functional public environment.
- Apply and continually build your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including theLocal Government Act,Roads Act, andNSW Road Rules.

$76,644.36 + $85,842.12 + 12% Superannuation + 18.8% loading in accordance with the Ranger Services Agreement
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated practical experience in a Regulatory role.
- HSC or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse community and achieve compliance in a regulatory role.
- Ability to read and understand, apply and enforce legislation, policies and guidelines.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated conflict resolution, consultation, negotiation and customer service skills.
