TheRisk Coordinatoris a new role that reports to theRisk and Claims Managerandmanages aRisk Officer. In this dynamicrole, you will bemainly responsibleforcoordinatingCouncil’senterprise risk framework includingensuringbusiness continuity and incident managementcapabilitiesareeffectiveacross Council.
The position is accountable forcontributing to the implementation,maintenanceand continuous improvementof a robust enterprise risk management framework covering strategic and operational risks including fraud and corruption risks, andour business continuity and incident management capabilities.
To do this you willassist the Manager deliver improvements to risk management or related systems,champion an effective risk management culture throughout Council andconductrisk basedinvestigations andaudits, implement corrective actions, provide support and advice to continuously improve risk performance and assist the business resolve audit actions.
To succeedin thisroleyou will needtechnical experience andexpertise,interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, andproject management andleadership skills.You will need to be highly engaged, confident working closely with external and internal stakeholders, and comfortable problem-solving and navigating strategic and operational challenges and landscapes. You willmanageanother personand together you willsupport the Manager to deliverhigh qualityriskmanagementservices.

Salary Point 56 ($115,437.92 ) - 65 ($128,100.96) + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated risk, business continuity and incident management senior specialist experience in a diverse operational service delivery focussed organisation
-
Significant experience leading and delivering risk advice and expert support to resolve problems or investigate and respond to business continuity matters or serious incidents, where several complex alternatives need to be addressed.

Significant experience with maintaining enterprise risk register/s, and assisting operational service units develop and review operational risks registers.

Experience with the development and implementation of risk treatment plans and monitoring their effectiveness.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships and stakeholder management through advanced communication skills and approachable style with a passion for risk management, safety improvement and customer service.

Demonstrated project management skills, including a proven track record of systems/process improvement and delivery.

Proven ability and experience in driving a proactive risk management and safety culture.

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary risk management models, developing key performance metrics, assessing control effectiveness and developing, management and Committee reporting.

Knowledge and understanding of Local Government

Current Class C (minimum) NSW Driver’s Licence.

Experience in corporate governance and the implementation of management systems consistent with AS/ISO 31000;2009 and similar standards
