Salary Range is $92,000 - $98,000 + super

We need a Property Operations Technical Officer who can partner with our amazing team and work with our stakeholders to achieve great things.

What You Will Be Working On

The Property Operations Technical Officer will play a key role in overseeing property operations projects and managing contracts for the city. Focusing on technical specification writing for maintenance and projects throughout the city and overseeing approximately 150 assets.

  • Lead and manage property operations projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
  • Manage contracts related to property operations, including reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts.
  • Write technical specifications for maintenance and projects across the city.
  • Oversee surveys of properties to assess conditions, plan projects, and identify structural and safety risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes in construction and property management.
  • Work closely with contractors and departments within the city to deliver projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with the assets team to maintain and manage the city's assets.
  • Spend approximately 60% of the time in the office handling administrative tasks, planning, and communication.

About You

  • Degree or certification in construction management, quality/ quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and contract management, particularly within property operations.
  • Strong understanding of building and construction, including the ability to identify structural and safety risks.
  • Experience with technical specification writing for maintenance and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and precision in managing contracts and overseeing projects.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations in construction and property management.
