What You Will Be Working On

As the Information Management Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of archival and information management practices. Your responsibilities will Be:

  • Organise and maintain seamless accessibility of both digital and hardcopy business records.
  • Adhere to ISO standards and legislative requirements, ensuring compliance across all records management operations.
  • Utilise the Electronic Record Management System to manage record lifecycles efficiently.
  • Establish and enforce records management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to uphold records management standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on digitisation initiatives and offsite archival storage solutions.
  • Oversee the City’s Archival, Disposal, and Backscanning Programs.
  • Generate insightful reports for the purpose of continuous improvement in records management practices.

About You

  • Required qualifications in Records & Information Management, Archives Management, or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of Recordkeeping Legislation, Standards, and Practices.
  • Familiarity with Western Australian record-keeping requirements and the functions of the State Records Office.
