Camden Council is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Parking Officer to be part of our new Parking Team. Reporting to the Team Leader - Parking, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, accessibility, and amenity of Camden's streets and public spaces.

In this role, you will:

  • Enforce parking regulations in line with legislation and Council policies
  • Provide excellent customer service to the community
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and evolving team
  • Contribute to protecting and enhancing the amenity, safety, and wellbeing of the Camden community
  • Work over a seven-day roster which will include weekends and public holidays

Essential:

  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
  • Completion of relevant regulatory and enforcement training, (eg SEINS, Certificate IV Government Investigations) and/or relevant experience in applying
    parking enforcement legislation, including the NSW Road Rules and Local Government Act and/or similar transferable skills
  • Ability to use electronic devices (eg, Fine issuing devices, mobile phones and computers)
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Understanding and commitment to WHS and EEO principles

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a regulatory role
  • Local Government experience
