SALARY: $122,086- 139,925 p.a + Super + leaseback

Work Type: Permanent Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate natural resource management professional to join our growing Open Space and Sustainability team, in the role of Coordinator Natural Resources. This position leads a team responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering natural resource management initiatives, while driving environmental outcomes and supporting sustainable management of Council's natural assets.

Essential:

  • Tertiary Qualifications and demonstrated experience in Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Planning
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of natural resource management issues and legislative framework
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, promoting, implementing, evaluating and monitoring natural resource management projects
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation and implementation of contracts, work specifications and service agreements
  • Experience in relevant financial administration and budget control for grant funding, contracts and service agreements
  • Highly developed time management skills and the ability to manage high workloads
  • High level negotiation and dispute resolution skills with the capacity to make decisions
  • Ability to write analytical and logical reports drawing justified conclusions
  • Drivers Licence

Desirable:

  • First aid certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and motivate others to work towards strategic outcomes
  • Experience with asset management software and GIS applications
