The Opportunity

As the Manager for Design & Projects, you will lead a team of technical experts on the survey and design of civil infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in coordinating, planning and scheduling the survey investigation and design of civil infrastructure projects within Council's Capital Works Delivery Program including the design of roads, drainage, footpaths, shared paths and recreation designs.

In addition to the above, you will also assess the feasibility of significant infrastructure development or asset management projects and develop solutions for successful project outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, or a combination of demonstrated experience and education. You will also possess experience in:

-Design for roads, drainage, shared paths and recreation facilities
-Drainage design & Pavement design
-Construction procedures for civil engineering works
-Project Estimation and construction

With strong interpersonal skills that inform your leadership style, you will also have experience in building and leading teams to successful project outcomes.

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

This position attracts a salary range of $144,587 - $160,491 (inclusive of civil liability allowance) + 12% p.a. superannuation + car allowance.
