The Opportunity
Maitland City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Manager Administration and Cemeteries to join our City Services Team.
In this role, you will oversee the operations of the Cemeteries and Administration section, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers and the wider community.
You will lead the delivery of Council's cemetery services, ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, overseeing the allocation of interment plots, and managing the Council's cemetery records management system.
You will also manage the administration of plant hire contracts, ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of this function. In addition, you will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead the delivery of administrative services across the department.
As a leader, you will inspire and support your team by providing coaching and guidance, while championing our Guiding Principles. Your leadership will contribute to a positive organisational culture and drive the achievement of key operational objectives.
About You

As the Manager Administration and Cemeteries, you will:
- Hold a degree qualification in Business or Diploma in Business/Business Administration or related discipline and/or equivalent experience coupled with relevant education and training.
- Possess contemporary industry knowledge and demonstrated experience delivering specialised services within a regulated environment.
- Proven ability to interpret and analyse legislation and regulations and ensuring compliance across the relevant service area.
- Extensive experience in providing exceptional administrative and customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to lead, develop and manage high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills.

Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging $118,909 - $131,989 + 12% super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
