The opportunity

Are you someone who thrives on accuracy, problem-solving and delivering great customer service? Join our Land Use Planning team as a Land Information Systems (LIS) Officer - Planning Certificates.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing Section 10.7 Planning Certificates, maintaining background information systems and databases, and providing accurate and timely information to internal and external customers.

Working in a fast-paced time sensitive environment, you will manage competing priorities while ensuring a high level of accuracy and compliance with legislative requirements. This is a permanent full time 35 hour per week position. Salary from : $91,924 up to $105,988 per annum plus superannuation. (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)

What you will be doing

  • Processing and preparing Section 10.7 Planning Certificates accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Providing responsive customer service and resolving enquiries relating to Planning Certificates.
  • Researching and interpreting policies, legislation and guidelines to support decision-making.
  • Maintaining and updating land information systems, databases and associated records.
  • Coordinating information and documentation with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate certificate outcomes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and helping maintain effective administrative processes.
  • Working collaboratively within a small, supportive team while managing your own workload and priorities.
  • Promoting a culture of integrity, professionalism, workplace health and safety, diversity and inclusion.

You are a confident and professional communicator who enjoys building positive relationships with customers, stakeholders and colleagues. You remain calm under pressure, think critically, and take a proactive approach to resolving enquiries and challenges.

You are equally comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team. With strong administration and technology skills, you can manage competing priorities, adapt to changing demands and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Most importantly, you have exceptional attention to detail. You take pride in producing accurate work, identifying inconsistencies and ensuring quality outcomes that customers and colleagues can rely on.
