About the Role
The IT Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that IT projects are delivered successfully and
adherence to the Bayside Council project management framework.
They work to manage project scope, budgets, and timelines, while also leading project teams and
communicating with stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned and informed about project progress and
risks.
About You
The Project Manager is responsible for the following:
- Project Delivery
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget in line with Bayside Project Management Framework (BPMF).
- Project Planning
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, escalating to the Project Control Group as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with sponsors, business units, vendors, and executives, keeping all parties informed on project status and risks.
- Governance & Compliance
- Maintain project governance documentation (Project Life Documents, status reports, registers) in accordance with the BPMF.
- Executive Reporting
- Provide regular status updates on progress, milestones, budget, and key decisions to the Project Control Group and IT Project Delivery Lead.
- Vendor & Contract Management
- Oversee external vendor relationships, contract deliverables, service levels, and value for money.
- Change & Transition
- Ensure smooth handover of project deliverables into business-as-usual operations.
- Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned, and contribute to maturing Council's project management practices.
- Values & Conduct
- Model high standards of behaviour and promote Bayside Council's organisational values.

Salary: $112,129 - $125,585 pa + 12% superannuation
