About the role
Join the Clarence Coast Holiday Park team as an Assistant Manager!

What you will do:
In this role you will manage the day-to-day operations of Calypso Holiday Park in Yamba, including working weekends and peak holiday periods. On-site accommodation is provided.

As Holiday Park Assistant Manager, you will support the Holiday Park Operations Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient operations by maintaining consistently high standards in park maintenance and guest services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating a proactive, hands-on approach to park management
  • Valuing all employees as essential team members and maintaining leadership credibility by upholding consistent high standards of personal ethics across all park operations
  • Preparing reports for the Operations Manager
  • Ensuring thorough park and departmental inductions, along with ongoing on-the-job training for all staff
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager on significant maintenance, repairs, and soft refurbishment projects
  • Monitoring and maintaining a safe environment for guests, visitors, and employees. You will also be responsible for promptly addressing any safety concerns and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations to protect everyone on site. Maintaining a proactive approach to risk management is essential in this role.

What you will bring:
Our ideal candidate brings relevant experience in hotel, resort, or park management, with strong initiative, resilience, organisational and planning skills. You will have proven experience managing staff at all levels, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. A flexible approach to work and a genuine passion for collaborating within a confident operational team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences are essential. As a hands-on leader, you lead by example and communicate effectively with both employees, management, and guests.

You will play a key role in driving the operational success of the holiday park and supporting the growth of Clarence Coast Holiday Parks as a premier holiday destination. This is a term contract position for up to 12 months.

Other important information
This position is located at Council's Calypso Yamba Holiday Park; however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future. A probation period applies to this position.
