EXECUTIVE MANAGER CITY DEVELOPMENT

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join Maitland City Council's Senior Leadership Team as Executive Manager City Development.

Reporting to the Director City Planning, this pivotal role will shape the sustainable growth of our city and contribute to building a thriving and resilient community.

As Executive Manager City Development, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across development assessment and planning services, ensuring strong performance against statutory timeframes and NSW Government targets, while delivering high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
The key service areas you will lead and drive excellence across include:

- Subdivision and Development Engineering

- Building Surveying & Fire Safety

- Development Assessment

- Business Support

About You

To be successful in this opportunity, we are seeking a highly capable leader with tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Building Surveying, Environmental Health or a related discipline.

You will bring substantial industry experience across a range of Local Government services including development and environmental management, along with experience managing complex planning, regulatory, or service improvement projects.

Your strong leadership capability will be complemented by your ability to engage, influence, and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, while driving efficient, high-quality outcomes.
