About the Role

Wollondilly Shire Council is seeking a suitably experienced Ranger to join the team in the position of Environment Officer - Enforcement. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Ranger Services, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to enhance their skills within a regulatory services environment. Supported by a service focused team, you will be responsible for enforcing and undertaking regulatory investigations and actions, participate in routine parking patrols and the operation of Council's animal shelter and the delivery of public education programs and events. 

No two days will be the same! 

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum two years relevant work experience in a regulatory and enforcement role.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation relevant to the position.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, think and solve problems on a day-to-day basis.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of legal evidence, notices, orders and directions.
  • Superior verbal communication, engagement and conflict resolution skills.

This position will be required to work out-of-hours, including the on-call roster and on weekends when required.
