A rare opportunity has arisen within Council's Information Technology team for a driven and highly motivated Network and Systems Engineer.

About the Role

Working with the Senior Network and Security Engineer you will play a fundamental role in the implementation of the network, server, storage, desktop, cyber security of Council's information technology environment. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Information Technology related degree, relevant technology certification, and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing a complex IT environment including network, server, storage, and desktop infrastructure.
  • Ability to undertake ongoing planning which may be complex.
  • Previous experience in providing quality customer service with the ability to relay technical information to a range of internal customers.
