About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to join our Assets, Transport and Engineering team in the position of Asset Engineer (Systems). This position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Asset Management System (AMS), to achieve a capability that supports best practice asset management, valuations, mobile computing, maintenance, renewal planning and audit processes.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, Asset Management, or relevant discipline, with substantial knowledge and experience associated with the management of infrastructure assets.
  • Relevant work experience in Asset Management, civil construction or related field.
  • Well-developed skills in using asset management systems and predictive modelling applications, GIS and data querying to support asset management and demonstrated experience in spatial database and Geographic Information systems (GIS).
  • Demonstrated experience in the collection and analysis of infrastructure asset data for asset valuation, long term infrastructure programs, reporting and decision making.
  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • A solid knowledge of programming language and how data is processed including database integration and SQL reporting.
