Introduction
Join our Community Services team in Ramingining and play an important role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and independence of older community members. This rewarding position combines meal preparation with hands-on aged care support, helping deliver quality, person-centred services in a remote community setting.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary, cultural, and personal needs.
- Deliver aged care services including meals, transport, personal care, domestic assistance, and social support activities.
- Support and mentor Aged Care Support Workers in the delivery of quality care services.
- Maintain food safety standards, stock control processes, and procurement activities.
- Complete required records including temperature logs, stocktakes, and ordering documentation.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, community stakeholders, and colleagues.
What we’re looking for
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Experience delivering meal services for vulnerable people or community-based clients.
- Food Safety qualification, or willingness to obtain.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Current C Class Driver Licence, or the ability to obtain.
- Previous experience living and/or working in remote First Nations communities would be an advantage.
