Join our Active Communities & Youth Services team in Nhulunbuy as a Administration Support Officer. In this role, you'll support a passionate team focused on delivering positive outcomes for communities across East Arnhem. What you’ll do
- Manage day‑to‑day administrative duties, including payroll tasks, travel bookings, itineraries, purchase orders, and credit card acquittals.
- Provide administrative support across recruitment, minute‑taking, data entry, and general assistance to the Active Communities & Youth Services team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
- Collate and prepare timesheets for approval and provide procurement support for daily operational needs.
- Organise meetings and events, coordinating facilities, catering, travel, and participant attendance.
What we’re looking for
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to provide an efficient and friendly service to all.
- Well‑developed communication skills, including written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑cultural environments.
- Ability to use initiative, work unsupervised, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and contribute positively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software.
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Awareness of issues affecting First Nations people in Australia is beneficial, particularly given the role’s engagement with diverse communities.
- Experience living or working in remote Australian First Nations communities is an advantage.
What You’ll Get
- Salary: $78,219 – $85,472 per annum (excl. super)
- 6 weeks annual leave + 17.5% loading
- Annual salary review under the Enterprise Agreement
