Administration Support Officer - Community Services

East Arnhem Regional Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Administration Support Officer - Community Services, based in our Darwin Office, to deliver high-level administrative and operational support aligned with Council's goals. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of people in one of Australia's most unique and culturally rich regions.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the payroll assistance through the coordination and delivery of daily administrative tasks
- Administer financial processes and manage the procurement of materials and services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Take initiative to identify and implement improvements to administrative and operational processes
- Oversee the monitoring and delivery of small works projects from initiation through to completion
- Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Support meetings and projects through agendas, minutes and action tracking, and coordinate travel and accommodation for regional activities
- Actively participate in all offered training and development opportunities.
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties are reasonably directed by the Director - Community Services.
What you'll bring Essential
- Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workloads.
- An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- An ability to assess and manage risk in line with quality standards.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills.
- An ability to work as part of a team and undertake tasks with competing deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel etc.).
- Current NT C Class Drivers Licence.
Desirable
- Other relevant qualifications and related experience
- Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a multi-cultural workplace
- Previous experience living and/or working in a remote First Nations community within Australia.
