Georges River Council operates five strategically located Early Learning Services, caring for around 400 children across areas including Beverly Hills, Carss Park, and Oatley.

About the Position

  • Employment type: Permanent full-time
  • Location: Narani Child Care Centre, Carrs Park
  • Hours: 70 hours per fortnight, with rostered start and finish times between 7.30am and 6.00pm
  • Salary: $61,882.24 – $71,698.22, dependent on skills and experience

As an Early Childhood Educator (Cert III), you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for all children at the Centre. You will support the planning and delivery of age‑appropriate programs that promote each child’s learning, development, and wellbeing. These programs will reflect the developmental, cultural, and individual needs of every child, including those requiring additional support.

You will work closely with the team to build positive relationships with children and families. Clear and respectful communication with parents is a key part of this role, helping to support each child’s growth and learning journey.

Key focus areas include:

  • Support children’s learning, development, and daily programs
  • Promote inclusive, child‑centred practice for all children
  • Assist with program delivery and daily routines
  • Build positive relationships with children to support confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Help create safe, engaging learning environments
  • Communicate respectfully with families and encourage involvement
  • Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and wellbeing standards
  • Contribute professionally as a team member and comply with policies and regulations

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring a caring, professional approach to working with children, families, and colleagues.

You will also have:

  • Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent)
  • A current First Aid Certificate, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management, with at least six months remaining until expiry
  • A current Working with Children Check, approved and valid for at least six months
  • A NSW Department of Education‑approved Child Protection Training Certificate
  • Food Handling and Preparation training or certification
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers, and the wider community
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide positive role‑modelling when required
  • A willingness and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment
