The Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Personal Assistant to support the Manager, Sport and Community Facilities. In this role, you will help keep daily operations running smoothly and support key projects across the team. You will prepare reports, manage meetings and schedules, and coordinate communication with staff and external partners. This is a fast-paced role where you will play an important part in delivering quality community services.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Manager’s calendar, including meetings, appointments, priorities, and key tasks.
  • Monitor calls and emails on behalf of the Manager and prepare draft responses in line with Council guidelines.
  • Collect information and prepare documents to support projects and daily operations. This includes reports, presentations, memos, and Council papers.
  • Organise and take minutes for meetings, including the Sport, Community Facilities and Events team and the Georges River Sports Advisory Committee.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is stored and managed in line with Council policies.
  • Review and improve internal systems and processes to support efficient administration across the team.
  • Handle sensitive information with care and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a capable and reliable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality support. You will bring:

  • A Certificate III in Business Administration (or similar), or relevant work experience.
  • A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • At least four years’ experience in a Personal Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships and work well in a team.
  • Proven experience managing diaries, meetings, and correspondence.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • A strong focus on customer service and delivering quality outcomes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems in a corporate setting.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed, including attending meetings and taking minutes.

  • Temporary full-time parental leave role (35 hours per week), up to August 2027 (up to 13 months).
  • Salary from $75,531.48 to $87,514.48, plus 12% superannuation.
