About the position:
Are you a detail-oriented person who thrives on compliance and good governance? The City is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Corporate Governance Officer. You will play a key role in supporting governance, privacy, risk, and insurance services across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in governance within a supportive team environment.
This position is offered as a full-time permanent position to the successful candidate.
Key accountabilities:
- Provide administrative support in the preparation, formatting, collation and distribution of governance documentation, including policies, procedures, registers and correspondence.
- Assist in the administration of the City’s Insurance portfolio, including processing of insurance claims, liaising with the City’s insurer on general insurance enquiries and coordinating documentation for the annual insurance renewal process.
- Assist in the administration of the City’s risk management software, procedures and registers.
- Assist with the administration of Freedom of Information and privacy handling applications, including document collation and coordination.

Position requirements:
The successful candidate will have comprehensive experience in business administration, governance, or corporate services within medium to large organisations. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remunerations and benefits
The Corporate Governance Officer position has a salary starting from $89,127 up to $100,195 per annum or from $45.1046 up to $50.7059 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
