About the position:
The Reticulation Worker undertakes operational activities associated with the provision of reticulation services to the City of Greater Geraldton, working under direction to ensure all work is carried out within agreed programs and budget constraints and in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, City policies, procedures and relevant Australian standards.
This role is offered on a 9-day fortnight, giving you every second Friday off to recharge, plan adventures, or enjoy more time doing what matters to you.
Key accountabilities:
- Carry out maintenance, repairs and installations for all City reticulation infrastructure for its parks, ovals, gardens and streetscapes, to a high standard as directed on a daily basis.
- To assist the Senior Leading Hand and Leading Hand Reticulation with the accurate recording of all statutory requirements governing the City’s water delivery services.
- Liaise with the Senior Leading Hand and Supervisor to assist with the preparation and implementation of annual reticulation works/projects.
- General operation of plant and hand tools, carry out maintenance and/or labour duties as required.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will ideally have demonstrated experience in the techniques and methods associated with reticulation installation and maintenance.
Applicants who have sound knowledge, skills and experience but do not have formal qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $76,072 per annum or $38.4981 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
