Title: Business Operations Coordinator, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $111,468.90 to $129,545.15 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Community Transport & Parking team is responsible for coordinating the business, administrative and operational functions for Council’s transport and parking services across the Northern Beaches. This includes the Hop Skip Jump community bus service, Council-owned car parks, on-street and off-street parking operations, and digital parking schemes that support modern, convenient and customer-focused access to parking across the region.
The team provides timely, accurate and customer-focused advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with Council objectives.

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include: 
1)    Lead and support staff performance and capability, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture focused on service excellence and wellbeing 
2)    Drive continuous improvement across the service including improving systems, processes and customer experience through collaboration, innovation and problem solving
3)    Coordinate the delivery of operational projects and service initiatives, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to required standards 
4)    Oversee administrative, procurement, contract and budget support functions to ensure efficient, compliant and effective service delivery 
5)    Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners and the community to support high-quality customer service outcomes

 

About you:
You are an experienced operations professional with strong capability in coordinating people, processes and systems in a complex service environment. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are confident working across competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
You have experience supporting or leading operational teams, with exposure to procurement, contract administration, budgeting and service improvement. Your communication skills are strong, and you are comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
Most importantly, you are proactive, adaptable, and motivated by improving services, systems and customer experience in a local government environment.
