About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Contributions Planner to join our Contributions Planning Team.  In this role you will deal with development contributions matters in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation as well as promote Council's policies and range of professional services to clients, staff and other agencies. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Undertaking qualifications in Town Planning, Project Management, Financial Management, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience in Local Government accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating, implementing and monitor development contributions, planning agreements and works in kind agreements in a growth centre or priority precinct context.
  • Understanding of the Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements under the NSW Government Act.
  • To communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with all levels of Council and the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and innovation when investigating, analysing & solving problems or taking advantage of opportunities.
