  • Salary: $99,775 - $113,318 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
  • 38 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) with a 9-day fortnight
  • Leaseback available
  • Located at Shoalhaven Water Flinders Depot

About the Role

This role will supervise, monitor and control the operations and maintenance of the Shoalhaven Water Treatment System to Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) standards. This includes:

  • Supporting and managing the day-to-day operations of the Water Treatment Team staff, finances and assets.
  • Ensure processes, systems and protocols are in place for the Water Treatment Operations compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies.
  • Ensure all operational and maintenance risks are managed in accordance with Council's enterprise risk management system.

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field of study (Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate V), (e.g. Water Treatment and System Operation, Civil, Chemical, Chemistry) or relevant discipline/experience.
  • Current NSW First Aid Certificate.
  • Current NSW SafeWork Confined Spaces Entry Certificate.
  • Fluoridation Plant Operators Certificate.
  • Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
