Are you passionate about water resources, stormwater management and creating sustainable outcomes for communities? Join our Strategic Asset Management team and play a key role in protecting and enhancing one of Sydney's most unique natural environments.

As our Waterways Engineer, you'll help deliver projects and strategies that improve water quality, manage flood risks, enhance stormwater infrastructure and protect our waterways for future generations. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise while influencing long-term planning and delivering meaningful outcomes for the community.

What you'll be doing

You'll work across a diverse range of engineering and environmental initiatives, including:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of projects focused on waterways, stormwater, floodplain management and catchment health.
  • Providing specialist engineering advice to internal stakeholders, consultants and the community.
  • Managing consultants and technical studies, including hydraulic and flood modelling.
  • Developing engineering guidelines, policies and strategic plans.
  • Preparing grant applications to secure funding for important community projects.
  • Contributing to asset management, infrastructure planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You're an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working collaboratively to deliver practical, sustainable solutions. You combine strong technical capability with excellent communication skills and enjoy building positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

You'll also bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental), related degree or nearing completion
  • Experience in stormwater or floodplain management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.

  • Package:$99,569 - $105,544 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
