The Opportunity

We have two opportunities for motivated individuals toundertake a range of waste facility operations at the Central Waste Facility (CWF) including (but not limited to):

  • Machine operation (heavy plant experience preferred)
  • Water sampling
  • Experience with pumps and irrigation
  • Hand tool operation (whipper snippers, brush cutters, mowers)

As a Waste Facility Team Member, you will assist in undertaking construction and maintenance activities on waste facilities as well as have input into developing detailed landfill filling plans.

About You

We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated experience in the operation of landfill plant or similar earthmoving equipment and holds a current NSW Class C (Car) drivers licence.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Appropriate specialist training or work experience (plant operations)
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers licence (preferred)
  • Two (2) years' experience in a similar role (indicative).

Benefits

These are fixed term, part time positions, working 34 hours per fortnight for a period of six (6) months.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $79,957.52 gross per annum (paid pro rata), comprising of:

  • $1,327.87 per week base salary (paid pro rata)
  • $159.34 per week superannuation (calculated at 12% and paid pro-rata)
  • $50.43 per week Level 2 Adverse Working Conditions allowance (paid pro-rata)
