About the Role
Are you an experienced and safety-focused truck driver with a passion for civil construction? Camden Council is seeking a skilled Flocon Driver to join our Civil Construction and Maintenance team. In this specialist role, you will play a key part in delivering and maintaining vital road infrastructure across our vibrant and growing community.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Flocon and other specialised civil trucks for road maintenance and asphalt works.
- Prepare and operate trucks and associated plant/equipment, including recording and measuring materials, operating sprays, and applying specialised equipment.
- Conduct daily mechanical and safety checks, routine maintenance, and ensure vehicles and equipment are kept in optimal, safe, and clean condition.
- Perform manual handling and general labouring tasks, including earthworks, concreting, drainage, signage, and traffic control.
- Accurately complete record-keeping using Council mobile devices and applications.
- Respond to customer requests and participate in emergency and community event preparations.
Essential:
- Considerable MR driving experience
- Manual handling skills
- Operation of small plant and equipment
- Experience in general labouring work
- Demonstrated ability to apply WHS and EEO principles
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a crew
- OH&S General induction for Construction Induction Training
Desirable:
- Specialised civil truck driving experience
- Traffic Controller Certificate
