About the Role

Are you an experienced and safety-focused truck driver with a passion for civil construction? Camden Council is seeking a skilled Flocon Driver to join our Civil Construction and Maintenance team. In this specialist role, you will play a key part in delivering and maintaining vital road infrastructure across our vibrant and growing community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Flocon and other specialised civil trucks for road maintenance and asphalt works.
  • Prepare and operate trucks and associated plant/equipment, including recording and measuring materials, operating sprays, and applying specialised equipment.
  • Conduct daily mechanical and safety checks, routine maintenance, and ensure vehicles and equipment are kept in optimal, safe, and clean condition.
  • Perform manual handling and general labouring tasks, including earthworks, concreting, drainage, signage, and traffic control.
  • Accurately complete record-keeping using Council mobile devices and applications.
  • Respond to customer requests and participate in emergency and community event preparations.

Essential:

  • Considerable MR driving experience
  • Manual handling skills
  • Operation of small plant and equipment
  • Experience in general labouring work
  • Demonstrated ability to apply WHS and EEO principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a crew
  • OH&S General induction for Construction Induction Training

Desirable:

  • Specialised civil truck driving experience
  • Traffic Controller Certificate
