Tree Worker/Plant Operator

 

  • Salary $65,811.17 - $76,341.17 p/a + super
  • Permanent full-time role – 38 hours per week  - 9 day fortnight
  • Beautiful Ku-ring-gai Location

 

About Ku-ring-gai Council

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

 

Reporting to the Streetscape Supervisor, tasks will include but are not limited to, undertaking all aspects of tree maintenance including low risk climbing using rope and harness.

 

The safe use and operation of small plant and machinery, involving driving MR trucks and the operation of a Woodchipper and Stumpgrinder.

 

Required experience & skills:

  • Certificate II in Arboriculture or a willingness to undertake training to obtain
  • Experience in the use of Arboricultural equipment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tree pruning and removal techniques and equipment
  • First Aid, Traffic Control, Level 1 Chainsaw Operation certificates and MR licence – or a willingness to undertake training to obtain.
