What we will offer you:

  • Traineeship for two (2) years with potential for ongoing employment.
  • Obtain a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Local Government.
  • Above award rates! Commencing salary of $1,552.20 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (at 18 years of age or older), varying rates subject to age and experience as per Award provisions.

Traineeship information

This traineeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in local government whilst being supported to learn and grow in a friendly and enjoyable working environment. The traineeship duration will be 24 months (35-hour week full-time position) which includes 3 hours paid study time per week to work towards completing a Certificate IV in Local Government qualification.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • a current Class P1, P2 or C Driver’s Licence (desirable but not essential)
  • experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • full rights to work and study in Australia
  • a willingness to undertake the formal training requirements of this role (even better if you’re excited by it!)
  • enthusiasm, motivation and an eagerness to learn
  • the ability to work independently and within a team
  • a desire to treat others with respect and work safely to meet Work Health and Safety requirements
