You will be working while undertaking study in a supportive team environment. Kick off your career in venue administration with this exciting role whilst working towards obtaining a Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration.

What we will offer you:

  • Traineeship for two (2) years with potential for ongoing employment
  • Obtain a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration
  • Above award rates! Commencing salary of $1,552.20 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (at 18 years of age or older), varying rates subject to age and experience as per award provisions
  • Further opportunities to grow your skill set through additional courses, training, mentoring and support

Types of tasks / activities completed in the role

  • Provide quality customer service and support to all users of the Civic Theatre
  • Provide operational and administrative support for performances, events, and venue activities
  • Undertake all training, study and assessment requirements to complete the Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration

Traineeship information

This traineeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in venue operations and administration whilst being supported to learn and grow in a friendly, fun and enjoyable working environment. Across 24 months you will work full time (38-hour week) alongside experienced supervisors and colleagues, gaining hands-on industry experience and receiving 3 hours paid study time per week towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate IV qualification.

What you will need to succeed:

The successful applicant will have:

  • willingness to obtain a Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration
  • a current Class P1, P2 or C Driver Licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • enthusiasm, motivation and an eagerness to learn all aspects of theatre operations.
  • ability to work independently and within a team
  • a desire to treat others with respect and work safely to meet Work Health and Safety requirements
