The Opportunity:

As our Town Hall Venue Operations Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for everyone who visits or hires Maitland Town Hall. Supporting the Team Leader, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the venue, manage customer bookings, support event delivery, and ensure the venue is presented to the highest standard.

Working closely with venue hirers, community groups, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will be a key point of contact for customers from their initial enquiry about booking Maitland Town Hall through to event/function delivery. You will provide customers advice on venue suitability, coordinate bookings, , and ensure the seamless delivery of functions by providing an exceptional customer experience throughout the planning process and during on-the-day function delivery.

About you:

To be successful within this role, you will have a Certificate IV qualification in Events Management, Business Administration, Live Production & Technical Theatre, Arts or related discipline and/or equivalent experience working in a similar role.
To be successful in this role you will also possess:

  • Strong administration and business support skills
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relations, bookings and venue management
  • Exceptional customer experience skills
  • Ability to coordinate priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to support a team and act in a shift supervisory role, providing direction and mentoring to staff members on shift as required.
  • Ability to work 30 hours per a week, across a 7-day rotating roster, Monday - Sunday.

Benefits:

This is a permanent part-time role, working 30-hours per week, across a seven-day rotating roster (Monday - Sunday). This position attracts an hourly pay rate of $44.27 - $49.14 + 12% super + penalty rates for shifts worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
