JOB DESCRIPTION
Liverpool City Council is experiencing significant growth and is seeking three Team Members to join our proactive Maintenance Delivery team. In this role, you will contribute to the construction and maintenance of major infrastructure projects and help deliver a high level of service to the Liverpool community.

Working in crews of two to six people, you will undertake a range of Road and Roads Shoulder maintenance and construction activities under the direction of the Coordinator Maintenance Delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include undertaking road maintenance activities such as pothole patching, heavy patching, road shoulder maintenance, and table drain maintenance. The role also involves the safe operation and routine maintenance of plant and equipment used to deliver road and civil maintenance works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Council standards.

ABOUT YOU
You are a motivated and safety-conscious civil maintenance professional with experience in the construction and maintenance of road, footpath and drainage infrastructure. You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small team and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in the construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths and drainage infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of excavator, loader grader and skid steer would be an advantage.
  • As a minimum a HR license is essential with experience in operating and maintaining plant / equipment associated with civil construction, also minimum blue traffic controller's ticket is required.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to identify hazards and take appropriate action.
  • Experience operating and maintaining plant and equipment associated with civil construction works.
  • A current HR Driver License (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience operating excavators, loaders and skid steer machinery (highly regarded).
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions to achieve operational outcomes.

The salary (within the above-mentioned range) will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
