Team Member Rapid Response x 2

Posted: 2 days ago
Closes: 26 Jul

Work that matters, done with people who care.

As a Team Member Rapid Response, you carry out unplanned maintenance across parks, sports fields, reserves and open spaces, helping keep community facilities safe, accessible and well maintained.

You respond to issues as they arise across Blacktown City's open spaces. Duties include mowing lawns, maintaining gardens in car parks and median strips, setting up community events, preparing sports fields for seasonal use, line marking, installing and removing goal posts, and covering and uncovering cricket wickets. You also repair damaged infrastructure, install temporary barricades, and operate mowers, tractors, tip trucks, loaders and water trucks.

Working as part of a team, you respond to urgent requests, support service delivery during staff absences and help address issues resulting from unforeseen events. Your work directly contributes to the quality, presentation and usability of the city's open spaces.

If you enjoy hands on work, take pride in maintaining public spaces and work well in a team, we would love to hear from you.

At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:

  • a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
  • an entry level salary commencing at $1,197.30 per week
  • a 38-hour working week on a 6 week roster including 4 Saturday’s within the 6 week period
  • penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
  • a Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • 12% superannuation and competitive leave entitlements
  • ongoing training and development support
  • access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
