Are you ready to take that next step in your career?  We are looking for a motivated person to lead one of our Shire Presentation Teams. You will assist in managing an energetic and engaged team working on a variety of tasks associated with the collection of waste and cleaning public spaces and facilities. If you take pride in your work and have experience leading a team, we want to hear from you.

The role of our Team Leader – Waste Services includes:

  • Allocate resources to the team to carry out tasks associated with the collection of waste from public spaces and facilities, including cleansing of these areas.
  • Complete planned and reactive tasks including the collection of waste, dumped rubbish, deceased animals, cleaning and pressure washing of council’s infrastructure assets.
  • Assist with the coordination and supervision of contractors
  • Leadership of team including completion and/or approvals of required documents, timesheets/leave requests, WHS checklists, customer and works requests.
  • Drive and operate plant and equipment including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues.
  • Compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
  • Maintain work vehicles and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.

What are we seeking in our new team member:

A positive and engaged person who has a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role and also holds:-

  1. Drivers Licence (Class MR or HR) - NSW
  2. White Card - General Construction Induction
  3. If you hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate this will be looked upon favourably

Please note that this role involves early starts and rotational Sunday shifts (penalties will apply)
