About the Opportunity
At PMHC, every employee plays a key role in ensuring our
community receives safe, reliable, and sustainable services. We are seeking a
dedicated Team Leader Sewer Operations to lead and support our Sewer
Operations team within Utilities Operations.
In this role, you will supervise and work alongside a small
team delivering construction and maintenance works across Council’s sewer
network. You will coordinate daily activities, support your team, and ensure
works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate
III in Wastewater Industry Operations (NWP30219), or equivalent
combination of qualifications and experience - Minimum
6 months’ experience in water and/or sewer operations - Demonstrated
experience supervising or leading a team - Strong
communication skills with the ability to support and guide team members - Understanding
of WHS requirements and the ability to ensure compliance - Basic
computer skills, including completing forms and using standard systems - Ability
to work outside normal hours, including participation in an after-hours
on-call roster - Current
Driver Licence and White Card
On a typical day this role will:
- Lead
and support the Sewer Operations team to deliver safe and efficient
construction and maintenance works - Plan
and allocate daily tasks, ensuring work is completed to required standards
and timeframes - Conduct
pre-start meetings and toolbox talks - Work
alongside the team undertaking operational duties as required - Coordinate
plant, equipment, materials and contractors - Identify
and report safety, training and performance issues - Respond
to operational incidents and emergencies - Ensure
compliance with WHS, environmental and Council requirements - Communicate
with the public to resolve enquiries and support positive outcomes - Contribute
to continuous improvement and best practice approaches - Participate
in the after-hours on-call roster and undertake work outside standard
hours as required
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per
week with 9-day fortnight)
Starting salary of $77,704.38 to $86,975.22 per annum
depending on skills and experience, plus 12% Super, on call allowance and sewer
choke allowance.
This role qualifies for a Tool of Trade Vehicle.
