$76,418 to $85,576 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation, and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
You will be part of Traffic Ranger Team that enforces the regulatory provisions of Council’s responsibilities in relation to traffic, parking, road occupations and littering. You will be responsible for:
- Patrolling and policing the Shire enforcing relevant regulations
- Investigating complaints of breaches of acts and regulations under Council control including unauthorised skip bins, crane permits, advertising signs and illegally parked vehicles
- Ensuring infringements are issued and served in a timely manner under the appropriate Act
- Providing assistance and guidance to Traffic Rangers undertaking investigations
- Attending court hearings and representing Council in court
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of Council's policies, strategies and relevant sections of relevant Acts and Regulations
Position requirements
- Completion of Local Government Regulatory Services Cert IV or similar
- Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
- Note: This position is subject to a National Police Check.
About you
You will have experience leading a team, are pro active, and have excellent communication and customer service skills. You enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and our community to achieve the desired outcomes. Experience in an enforcement/compliance role, and a thorough understanding of Council's policies, strategies and relevant sections of Acts and Regulations will be required in this role.
