Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking an experienced Surveying professional to join our Design Engineering Services team. The successful applicant will collate and integrate survey data into Council’s spatial data systems, while also providing specialist support to the Design Engineering Services Team.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the delivery of the Section’s annual survey program.
  • Carry out topographic surveys.
  • Provide survey services in relation to civil construction projects including set out, investigations and ‘Work as Executed’ and machine control management.
  • Capture accurate and reliable data relating to Council’s assets to enable representation of data in electronic models.
  • Integrate survey data into Council’s existing spatial data systems.
  • Measure volumes of Council’s quarry stockpiles using GPS and Total Station equipment.

What you will need to succeed:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Diploma or Associated Diploma of Surveying or willing to obtain.
  • Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
  • Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Current Confined Spaces Certificate.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and administrative skills, ability to multi-task and apply a problem-solving approach to your work.
