Location: Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Provide advanced operational coordination, technical support and facility management across the Tamworth Sports Dome and associated venues.
  • Ensure hirer needs are met through high level customer service, event coordination and proactive maintenance
  • Complete day to day repairs and maintenance

Do you have experience in venue operations, event set up, facility maintenance and operating plant and equipment?

Council are on the lookout for a reliable, customer-focused team member to join our sport venues team.

Our ideal candidate will be confident operating plant and equipment, supporting hirers and stakeholders as well as maintaining safe and well-presented facilities.

The Sports Venue – Operations Officer is responsible for:

  • · Providing advanced operational coordination, technical support and facility management across the Tamworth Sports Dome and associated venues.
  • · Ensure hirer needs are met through high level customer service, event coordination and proactive maintenance
  • · Contribute to operational planning, WHS leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes but not limited to developing and maintaining operational procedures, identifying and reporting on asset renewal and assisting the coordinator with reporting and budget input
  • · Complete day to day repairs and maintenance

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor or diploma in Venue Management, Event Management, Business or Hospitality or equivalent experience
  • Driver Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workcover OHS Induction
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) Clearance

Salary range: Grade 8 - $64,581.42 - $69,882.76 per annum plus 12% superannuation, for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
