Finance Officer

Location:  Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Work in multi-functional office environment where you will need to high-level of accuracy and the capability to meet deadlines
  • Over time gain experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including payment of Council suppliers, water billing and rates
  • Maintain a high-level of accuracy while efficiently handling large volumes of transactions
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service by addressing enquiries in a timely manner from internal & external stakeholders

COULD THIS BE YOU?

To be successful in this role you will be a detail orientated finance professional with excellent communication skill and experience working in an office environment

The Finance Officer is responsible for offering operational support as required across the finance team in such areas as:

  • Monitoring and maintaining accounts payable
  • Monitoring and maintaining accounts receivable (including debtors, water billing and rates)
  • Performing reconciliations of accounts at statement level
  • Communicate in a timely and reliable manner with internal and external stakeholders

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Certificate III in Finance or similar – or equivalent experience
  • Well-developed IT literacy skills
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a high-volume transactional environment
  • Proven ability to provide customer solutions and positively resolve issues
  • NSW Drivers Licence

Salary range: Grade 9 - $1,293.00 - 1,399.20 per week plus 12% superannuation for a 35-hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
