About the position
Narromine Shire Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Recreational Team in the role of Sport and Recreation Coordinator.
The objective of this position is to ensure a high standard of customer service to clientele and support the efficient operation of all recreation services in the Narromine Shire.
Work with local sporting clubs, youth and volunteer groups and NSW sporting governing bodies with an aim to increase sport and recreation participation within the community.
Assist with the contract management for operation of Council aquatic centre facilities.
To be successful in this position you will need to have
- Certificate IV in Sport & Recreation of equivalent
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
- High level verbal communication skills for managing telephone and personal contact with members of the public
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment under limited supervision
- Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence.
- Working with Children's Check
- National Police Check
- Strong organisational skills
It will be desirable for you to have:
- Experience in managing a budget
- Cash handling experience
- Knowledge of relevant WHS policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the requirements for guidelines for safe pool operation
The details relating to this position are:
- The position is graded 9 within Council's salary structure
- The salary range is from$67,467 to $76,332 p/a.The salary step is determined by an annual competency assessment.
- Narromine Shire Council will pay a further 12% superannuation to your super fund
- 35 hour working week applies.NSC has a flexitime system whereby you may work 37.50 hours per week to bank 2.5 hours per week to be used at a later date.
- Employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award
