- Salary: $105,927 - $120,707 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
- 35 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) with the option of flexitime

About the Role
The SEC Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day management and long‑term sustainability of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. The role leads venue operations, programming, financial performance and team leadership to ensure the Centre operates as a high‑quality, accessible and compliant performing arts and events facility that delivers strong community outcomes. This includes:
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of events, performances and venue hires.
- Oversee staffing, event delivery, front‑of‑house and technical operations, logistics, equipment and customer service to ensure a consistent standard of excellence.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, policy and Council requirements, including work health and safety, emergency management, risk and business continuity.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or extensive experience in a venue management role in the performing arts industry
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
- A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Meets the regulatory requirements to hold a Liquor Licence (Licensee of the Venue)
- Demonstrated background in the successful management of a major performing arts and entertainment centre, services and projects, including managing industry and community stakeholder interests and expectations.
- Proven experience in implementing strategies for governance and management to ensure long term financial sustainability
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives to achieve and maximise utilisation and financial sustainability for an entertainment centre precinct
You are a capable, collaborative leader with experience in venue or operational management, strong financial awareness, and a practical approach to compliance and safety. You're organised, adaptable and motivated to deliver positive community outcomes in a public‑facing environment.
This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
