About the Role
This role supports the delivery of infrastructure construction projects by assisting the Project Manager across all phases, including planning, procurement, construction, and contract management. It involves coordinating project documentation, monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with technical, safety, environmental, and quality standards, and contributing to scope, schedule, and cost management.

The main duties of this position include:

  • Provide effective site representation as Council Officer across a range of projects.
  • Delivery of projects including the direct management of contract works.
  • Planning of projects including review & agreement brief - Scope, supporting info, responsibilities, Program, Estimate v budget, stakeholder identification
  • Undertaking Stakeholders Consultation
  • Maintain Communications Register
  • Use appropriate forms of communication and tools - email, letters, forms
  • Prepare Project Management Plans
  • Ensure permits, and planning approvals are in place
  • Review and monitor - Environmental, Quality, WHS Management Plans
  • Identify Procurement Strategies.
  • Undertake tendering through drafting RFT documents (scope, specification, special conditions, schedule, Separable Portions), and Prepare Quotation Evaluation Plan, submission evaluations and evaluation reports for projects.
  • Drafting letters/correspondence, procurement, risk identification, review of contractor's management systems.
  • Prepare Gantt charts and identify & track milestones
  • Prepare Cost Breakdown, Cost Plan Estimates

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Diploma in Architecture, Building or Construction, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Surveying, Project Management or related field or extensive experience in the building or construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in a range of Construction Delivery functions including procurement, time, cost, quality and contract surveillance
  • Current NSW General Construction Induction card (white card) or acceptable interstate alternative
  • Minimum NSW Class C driver's licence or equivalent licence valid in NSW
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
